Protection and Investment Ltd was created in 1999 following a management buy-out of AA Protection & Investment Planning Ltd. In 2002 several successful IFAs based in the South-East of England merged with Protection & Investment Ltd, following the merger the Sandhurst based IFA Philip Wallington Associates became the Sandhurst office of Protection & Investment Ltd.

Philip Wallington Associates was formed in 1994 to provide expert independent financial advice and related services to the local area. Whilst maintaining an efficient and personal service to it's clients the practice was also able to successfully acquire several local IFA businesses and has since maintained it's increasing client base to the same high standards.

With over 22 years as an IFA, Philip Wallington is now the Principal Financial Adviser at the Sandhurst office of Protection & Investment Ltd. He began his career in Pensions with Legal and General in 1963 and in 1969 moved to Sun Alliance working as a Composite Pensions Consultant and over a 13 year period gained valuable experience in the Pensions Sector. In 1982 he moved to Standard Life as a Life and Pensions Consultant. His final move before the formation of Philip Wallington Associates was in 1985 when he first became an IFA and moved to Godwins as Pensions and Financial Consultant for Employee Benefits. During this period he also obtained the Associate of the Life Assurance Industry (Diploma) qualification.
